Spring Break

So today officially ends our Spring Break. While we didn't get a chance to go out of town this week, we DID have a nice, relaxing week at home.
-Shopping trip with sisters
-Dinner with grandparents
-Date night
-Game night with friends
-Early morning donut run
-Tennis with the husband
-Time to finish a painting, complete one I started 6 months ago, and start a third!
And of course, all those places were visited in the following manner-

Top off the Jeep to enjoy the beautiful weather!

To wrap up break, I'm going to do some laundry, straighten the house, pack my bag for tomorrow and watch this:

Thank the Lord for lazy Sundays!

Happy Pi Day!

Today, March 14th, is Pi Day! (3/14....3.14, clever, huh?)

And while normally I would make a pie, the husband and I are craving some chocolate cake. SO tonight's dinner menu:

Grandma's World-Famous Goulash (it's magical... really!)
lemon green beans
chocolate cake with vanilla cream icing- ingredients for which were sent to me by mail from my very sweet grandmother, but not the creator of the goulash (however, she is world-famous for various other culinary dishes)

Now, everyone go find the circumference of something!

1. Spring is here!

2. Donuts with sprinkles are my favorite...
I'm feeling a trip to Krispy Kreme over spring break!

3. Oh, I just wish my hair would do this!

4. Alice in Wonderland is delightful.

5. I love secret napping spots :)

I Survived!

Last night, as a fundraising event for our school, Adam and I participated in...(drumroll)... Donkey Basketball! Words cannot explain it... but it is AWESOME, and we will definitely do it again!

That's right... that's me, on a donkey, shooting a basketball. (It went in, by the way!)
Adam, on the other hand, couldn't get his donkey to participate.

Adam's team won by a basket, but I feel like we all did really well at donkeyball!

2011

Resolve to make at least one person happy every day, and then in ten years you may have made three thousand, six hundred and fifty persons happy, or brightened a small town by your contribution to the fund of general enjoyment.
